How it works
- 1Upload the PDF. Drop in the plan exactly as it arrived by email. Vector PDFs, scanned drawings, and photos of paper plans all work.
- 2Set the scale. Click one known dimension on the plan, such as a labeled wall or a standard door, and type its length. Every measurement calibrates from that one input.
- 3Trace the rooms. Click around each room outline. The quantities table fills in floor area, perimeter, gross wall area, and ceiling area as you go.

Frequently asked questions
Does it count materials or just areas?
Both. The base table is areas. Choose a material preset (flooring, drywall, paint, or trim) and each room also shows purchase units: boxes, sheets, gallons, or sticks, with waste applied and a materials summary across rooms.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. Scale comes from a dimension you identify on the drawing, not from embedded CAD data, so scanned plans and photos of paper plans measure the same way vector PDFs do.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MeasureFloorPlan runs entirely in the browser on desktop or laptop. There is no download and no license key.
What does the CSV export include?
One row per room with floor area, perimeter, gross wall area, and ceiling area, plus totals. It opens directly in Excel or Google Sheets.
Is there a per-seat license?
Pricing is per plan: $9 for a single plan or $29 per month for unlimited plans for one user, and a $49 per month team plan covers 3 seats on one bill.
