PDF Measuring From the Plans You Already Have

Most bids start with lengths: linear feet of wall, trim, baseboard, fence, or pipe run. Upload the PDF, enter one dimension printed on the drawing to set the scale, and click along any wall or run. Each segment shows its length as you draw, a multi-segment run adds up as one measurement, and every run lands in a list with a total underneath. How do I measure a distance on a PDF?

Upload the PDF, set the scale by clicking both ends of a dimension printed on the drawing and entering its length, then pick the Distance tool and click along the wall or run. The length shows as you draw, and clicking more points adds segments to the same measurement.

Does it work if the PDF was not printed to scale?

Yes. The scale comes from a dimension on the drawing itself, not from the paper size, so a plan exported at any size or shrunk to fit a page still measures correctly.

Can I measure a multi-page plan set?

Yes. When the PDF has more than one page, you pick the sheet to measure. Each page you measure counts as one plan for pricing.

Can I export the lengths?

Yes. Download every length as a CSV with the segment count and a total, or a labeled PDF with the measurements drawn on the plan.
