Sunroom
A sunroom is a room with large areas of glass on its walls, and sometimes its roof, built to let in daylight and views of the outdoors. It is also called a sun porch, solarium or garden room.
A three-season room is an enclosed, mostly unheated space used in spring, summer and fall. A four-season room is insulated, heated and cooled so it can be used all year.
Sunrooms are often added to an existing house as an extension off the kitchen or living room.
A sunroom counts as living area only when it is heated, cooled and finished like the rest of the house. Three-season rooms are left out. See sunroom square footage.
