Living Room
A living room is the main shared room of a home, used for relaxing, conversation and entertaining guests. It is also called a lounge, sitting room or front room, and usually sits near the entrance.
Some houses have both a formal living room near the front door and a more casual family room or den elsewhere. In open plans the living room often flows directly into the kitchen and dining area.
Living rooms are usually among the largest rooms in a house and often hold features such as a fireplace or large windows.
A living room is measured by its interior length and width. When it has no walls on some sides, the edge drawn on the plan decides where it stops and the next space begins. Common sizes are in average living room square footage.
