3D Floor Plan
A 3D floor plan is a three-dimensional rendering of a floor plan, usually viewed from above at an angle, that shows walls, furniture and finishes in perspective. It is used mainly for marketing and presentation.
A 3D floor plan helps people picture how a space will look and flow, which a flat 2D plan can make hard. They are common in real estate listings, new construction sales and interior design proposals.
They can be generated from 2D plans with design software or captured with 3D scanning cameras and phone apps.
Because 3D renderings use perspective, distances cannot be measured accurately from the image. Measurements should come from a 2D plan drawn to scale.
