What is the standard size of a floor plan?

There are two ways to read this question. If you mean the paper or file size, residential floor plans are most commonly printed on Arch D (24x36 inch) or Arch C (18x24 inch) sheets, drawn at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot for residential work. Smaller marketing floor plans in real estate listings are usually letter-size PDFs or images with no fixed scale.

If you mean the size of a typical home, the median new single-family home in the US is roughly 2,200 square feet, though this varies widely by region and era. Older homes often run 1,000-1,600 sq ft.

Because marketing floor plans are rarely printed to a true scale, you can't measure them with a ruler reliably.
